News Editor

The goal of news writing is to convey a lot of information efficiently.  As the news editor you are responsible for popping the bubble of isolation that is the University of Toronto.  Keep our readers in loop!

As the News Editor your responsibilities are to:

  • write articles
  • assemble, motivate and engage a pool of contributing writers
  • enforce deadlines and article lengths on your contributors, as well as editing the article’s first draft
  • attend and contribute to content meetings

In other words, you’re the tip of the Howl spear!

Previous journalism experience a plus, but not required.
